The Feeling Of Doom

Today I feel like giving up. The dominant feeling inside of me the last couple of days has been the feeling of doom. I don’t know why it’s there, but it is. I don’t know what to do to make it go away and to feel better.

To follow my own advice, I guess I need to be completely with this feeling without judgement, even though it is extremely difficult for me to do, because it feels like surrendering to the end.

  1. The most crucial part of those feelings you shared is thinking that you have to get better. That is a feeling in and separate of itself that you are creating. Thinking it is something that you have to get out of is what gives it the power. I think you are completely right about you having to be with this feeling because then it loses so much power, it sees that it can not control you. If it can enter your mind yet you are still peaceful with it, it will shake the foundation of it aliveness in your mind and body.

  2. I feel stupid pressing like, when I read of your sadness and feeling overwhelmed. I also can’t offer you advice since I don’t know your plight. I am a stranger thousands of miles away from you. What I do know is that this is a miracle in itself – that we can connect in this way is a sign that little miracles happen everyday and as the sun shall rise everyday, there too is all the hope that little miracles will find you. Best wishes. Chevvy

  3. In order for the feeling to go away, you have to work through it and move forward. First, give thanks to Source/God/Universe and acknowledge what is going on within yourself and state it out loud. Secondly, accept whatever it is as a divine opportunity to learn more about yourself. Third, agree to release it. Say 3x out loud: I give myself permission to release this energy now. Name what it is….I give thanks for the gift of learning it has brought to me. Give thanks to your angels, etc anyone you pray to, etc. There’s more but this is basic…learning from it, releasing it and loving every cell in our body. xoxo

  4. I have no advice, Sascha. Just wanted you to know you are not alone. I, too, have been feeling this exact way for several days, and have even written about it. And being a diehard optimist, it is an odd thing for me to remain pessimistic for so long…

Still, it is what it is, and I trust it will pass eventually. In the meantime, knowing I am not alone helps me, if only because it hints that maybe what I am sensing really isn’t about me, so much as I am sensitive enough to pick it up from outside me…

Just a thought… Sending you hugs and hope for relief in the foreseeable future… 🙂

    1. Thank you do much! And im happy you know that you’re not alone! We might be picking it up from outside of us as you mention:) I know it will pass at some point, for you as well. Blessings

  5. I don’t necessarily “like” the fact that you’re feeling this way but I did press “like” for the sole fact that I can relate with that feeling every now and then. I wish there was something I could do to help…

  6. May I suggest keeping a perspective on it… if that feeling ever returns. You are not that feeling. It’s just a feeling. And who knows where it comes from. The true you is, as you say, like a beautiful flower. But down here on Earth, we don’t always feel that way. I believe it all happens for a reason. But again, it’s important to keep a perspective on the negatives!

I think you know this anyhow. Just reminding ya! 🙂

  7. Hey Sasha, hope you are feeling better. Just a little tip: Think of these dark times as the most exciting time of your life, because it truly is. You do the right thing, be with the feeling but you are not the feeling. Be a witness, be friends with your thoughts and feelings and let them be. These times are like the mud from where the Lotus will grow……
Enjoy your day, laugh and have fun, all is good!
